Issues can occur within pipes any time and sometimes it takes more than a flush to clear out blockages or possible collapsed piping. Our Closed-Circuit Television Video (CCTV) pipeline inspection units are capable of trouble shooting these issues by running cameras through sewer/storm lines and performing detailed inspections of sewer/storm systems. Upon detailed reviews, we can identify the issues in detail and accurately locate them eliminating the “guesswork” associated with working on underground pipes. Repairs on damaged or blocked lines can be precise and prompt resulting in less time trying to figure out where the problem is. CCTV inspections also allows us to assess various maintenance issues regarding the health of the pipe. Our units are equipped with various tools to assess these pipes including robotic tractors which carry high-definition cameras and are operated by our trained CCTV Camera Operators. Our CCTV Camera Operators are PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program) certified and have been trained with years of experience as a laborer for a general transition to an operator. PACP is a North American standard for sewer defect identification and assessment. It provides consistency and standardization on the methods in which sewer pipe conditions are evaluated and TV inspection results are managed.

CCTV Pipeline Inspection

Our CCTV Pipeline Inspection units are capable of taking precision 3D modelling pictures of manholes with automated measurements and laser precision timing with our manhole inspection scanning unit. These units make more efficient time and use of data entry as they are the latest in pipe line inspection technology. Some other equipment set on these units are push cameras and the latest Rover X. Push cameras are small cameras attached to long lines that connect to a monitor for visuals. Push cameras are meant for smaller pipes and can bend and move physically as far as the line goes. Most lawn basins/ clean outs need to be assessed with push cameras and are usually pushed in and fed into the line. Rover X is a robotic tractor that is lowered into sewer and storm pipelines in order to move forward and go over obstacles that could be in the way. These rovers are driven by our operators with joystick remotes and live feed monitors. The cameras attached to the Rover X can pivot, tilt, and pan out to inspect various angles of the pipe. This makes the Rover X extremely versatile using various parts to keep it moving and high-definition live cameras for precision accuracy in data entry.

Data entry, videos, and reports are sent to our customers with suggestions for them to determine what work is required and how much needs to be done. Our highly skilled operators program all the reports in house with pipe logistics and maintenance. We at McRae’s Environmental Services take pride in our pipeline inspection units and currently are adding more to our fleet. We do main line inspections, city line inspections, commercial and residential. Call us today for quotes and information about CCTV Pipeline Inspections and we would be happy to assist.
